RSM George Charnick DCM

RSM George Charnick DCM was a highly-decorated member of the 2nd Battalion of the London Irish Rifles who served with the battalion from the spring of 1939 until the end of the war and in occupation duties in Austria.

We have received the attached photographs of RSM Charnick from his son George. They provide a unique record of the story of a young Londoner’s journey through the ranks of the London Irish and almost two-and-a-half years of overseas war-time service.
