We are pleased to add transcriptions of the war diaries of the 1st Battalion, Royal Irish Fusiliers (1 RIrF) that provide a day by day narrative of the battalion’s actions from the time of their departure in from Liverpool in November 1942 to the time of final victory near the the River Po in northern Italy at the end of April 1945.
