2nd October – HATFIELD BROAD OAK.
The Battalion took part in a Brigade Route March for the purpose of testing various methods of carrying blankets and/or Waterproof Sheets on Packs.


5th to 8th October – HATFIELD BO.
The Battalion took part in 4 days Divisional Reserve.


11th October – HATFIELD BO.
Brigade Bombing and Field Engineering course resumed.


11th/12th October – BISHOPS STORTFORD.
2nd Lts Collenette and Conlan commenced the Divisional Range taking course.
The Battalion Staff attended a conference convened by the GOC 60th (London) Division.


12th October – UPEND.
Staff Ride under the Brigade Commander.


14th/15th October – BISHOPS STORTFORD.
2nd Lt Akerman obtained a satisfactory certificate after attending Divisional Course in Regimental Transport Duties.


15th October – ONGAR.
2nd Lt Tierney commenced special course of Instruction for Infantry Officers in Engineering.


18th October – CAMBRIDGE.
2nd Lt Mackenzie Smith commenced an Instruction Course at Christ’s College, Cambridge.


19th October – BISHOPS STORTFORD.
The Battalion Staff attended a Conference convened by the GOC 60th (London) Division.
2nd Lts Thompson and Tolson commenced a Divisional Class in Range taking.


19th to 22nd October – BISHOPS STORTFORD.
The Battalion (in Brigade) took part in 4 days of Divisional Exercises.


25th October – BISLEY/CAMBERLEY.
2nd Lt Kimberley commenced Course of Musketry in Bisley.
Lt Deacon commenced course for senior subalterns in Camberley.


25th October – SAFFRON WALDEN.
The Battalion proceeded (in Brigade) from Hatfield Broad Oak to Saffron Walden.


28th October – SAFFRON WALDEN.
Inspection of Horses in Brigade.


29th October – SAFFRON WALDEN.
The Battalion Staff attended Conference convened by the GOC, 60th (London) Division.
