Two NCOs commenced the 60th (London) Division Range-taking course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>9th November \u2013 KELVEDON.<\/strong><br>2Lt Forsayeth and 2 NCOs commenced a course of Instruction at the Third Army Trench Fighting School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>11th November \u2013 SAFFRON WALDEN.<\/strong><br>525 .303 Rifles and 157.920 rounds of ammunition received.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>13th November \u2013 BISHOPS STORTFORD.<\/strong><br>Two NCOs commenced the 60th (London) Division Range-taking class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>14th November \u2013 BISHOPS STORTFORD.<\/strong><br>2nd Lt Akerman and one NCO and one man commenced the 60th (London) Division Training Course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>15th November \u2013 BISHOPS STORTFORD.<\/strong><br>2nd Lt Kimberley commenced the Divisional Signalling course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>15th November \u2013 SAFFRON WALDEN.<\/strong><br>2nd Lt Comerford and 5 NCOs and 11 men commenced Course of Instruction at the 180th Infantry Brigade Bombing School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>525 Japanese rifles and 105.348 rounds of ammunition handed over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>16th November \u2013 SAFFRON WALDEN.<\/strong><br>2nd Lt Harvey and 5 NCOs and 6 men were placed as First Class Bomb Throwers by the 180th Infantry Brigade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>17th November \u2013 SAFFRON WALDEN.<\/strong><br>New Establishment (23 Officers) for 2nd Line units authorised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>17th November \u2013 OXFORD.<\/strong><br>2nd Lts Davis and MacKenzie commenced Junior Officers\u2019 Course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>17th November \u2013 BISHOPS STORTFORD.<\/strong><br>This Battalion was placed third in the Proficiency List of the 60th (London) Division at the Divisional Machine Gun Course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>18th November \u2013 SAFFRON WALDEN.<\/strong><br>Nine GS Wagons Mark 10 received and 9 GS Limber Wagons handed over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>21st November \u2013 GODSTONE. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lt Peckham and a NCO commenced a Grenadier course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>22nd November \u2013 SAFFRON WALDEN.<\/strong><br>Four NCOs and 18 men commenced Bombing Course at the class of the 180th Infantry Brigade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>22nd November \u2013 BISHOPS STORTFORD.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two NCOs commenced Divisional Range-taking course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>23rd November \u2013 SAFFRON WALDEN.<\/strong><br>2nd Lt Wakefield, 8 NCOs and 32 men commenced 3 weeks\u2019 training as Battalion scouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>24th November \u2013 HERTFORD.<\/strong><br>2nd Lt Harvey commenced the Junior Officers\u2019 course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>29th November \u2013 BISHOPS STORTFORD.<\/strong><br>Six men commenced the Divisional Machine Gun course.<br>One NCO commenced the Divisional Range-taking course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1st November \u2013 SAFFRON WALDEN.The Battalion was classed as the best Battalion Section in Defence in the Second Bombing and Field Engineering course instituted by the Brigade Commander, 180th Infantry Brigade;
