Relief commenced 1930 hours and completed at 0100 hours 2\/4\/17.<br>One Standing Patrol sent out on night 1\/2 April 1917 during relief. Nothing to report.<br>Special Vigilance ordered until further notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2nd April \u2013 K Sector.<\/strong><br>Bttn in trenches.<br>2 Standing Patrols sent out in front of works AK2 and AK$. Nothing to report.<br>Patrols remained out from dusk to dawn.<br>1 officer (Capt Peckham) transferred to Malta. 1 OR evacuated sick to CCS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3rd April \u2013 K Sector.<\/strong><br>3 Standing Patrols sent out from dusk to dawn in front of AK2 and AK4 and at point 1164\/1773. Nothing to report.<br>14 ORs joined unit from Base. 1 OR struck off strength RSM commissioned in 1st Leinster Regiment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4th April \u2013 K Sector.<\/strong><br>3 Standing Patrols sent out as on 3\/4\/17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5th April \u2013 K Sector.<\/strong><br>3 Standing Patrols as for 4\/4\/17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>6th April \u2013 K Sector.<\/strong><br>Enemy fired 100 phosgene gas shells at HQ (Back). 2 slight casualties but Box respirators found to work admirably. Very still atmosphere.
